Psalms for the nations

Ruth Charles has been taking comfort from the Psalms:

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

The pandemic is affecting all the nations of the world. Even if some countries do not have as many infections, the lock-downs and quarantines have a ripple effect on the world’s economy.

Ruth also mentioned another Psalm:

If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

Psalm 91:9-10 (NIV)

And while pandemic affects us all, it doesn’t overwhelm us.
