Hello church family,
This is a brief summary of our worship time for those who could not join online with YouTube on Palm Sunday, April 5.
On Palm Sunday, we say Hosanna, which means “Lord Save Us”, which is what the crowds shouted to Jesus, along with Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Probably many of those people in the crowd wanted Jesus to save Israel from the Roman Empire, today we can say “Lord Save us” from this corona-virus as well.
Luke 22:27 For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.
Highlights & ‘low-lights’: choose a highlight from your past week and also something difficult, a low-light. Now imagine you have the highlight in one hand and the low-light in the other and put them together. We can offer these to Jesus in prayer: he’s interested in both of those.
Paul Project: Let’s commit to sending at least one card to another family, either in the church or outside of the church family, per week. If you need cards or stamps, talk to Millie or Wes.
We want to extend the Paul Project to include writing short (or long) messages to the church. Maybe a scripture has been important to you in these days and you feel it would be good for the church to see the scripture and hear your thoughts on it. Write down these thoughts and we can publish them to our Facebook group or our website.
With regards to tithing/giving please use wisdom especially if your income has changed or the income of relatives. It is OK to refrain from giving or to reduce your giving to account for the uncertainty of this pandemic. There will be no official offering collection while services are suspended. We will resume offering collection when services resume. If you want to give during this time while services are suspended, please mail your offering (checks only please) to Luke Charles
On the month of February, MMC was blessed to have Antonio Ulloa for three Sundays, with the messages of “Spiritual Life Required”. On the last Sunday; we celebrated and concluded with a fellowship meal. His teaching and experiences motivated, inspired, and challenged us all.
“Your salvation requires you to turn back to Me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on Me.” Isaiah 30:15
January 11, 2020
On January 11, 2020, we celebrated the 97th birthday of Ruth Rohrer. She has been a great blessing to all of us and we wanted to make that day special for her.
